About

I’m Grace and I’m a writer, editor, and an elite-level connoisseur of shenanigans. I’m also:

a lifelong reader
a workshop presenter and facilitator
a WordPress nerd
a lover of superheroes
and a movie and TV Geek.

When I launched The Writer’s Station, I had you in mind: writers from all walks of life, in all stages of the creative process.

I was determined to use my MBA in marketing and editing certificate from the University of Chicago to help writers better understand the craft and commerce of storytelling.

I’m a regular contributor to Writer Unboxed—a Writer’s Digest Best of the Best Websites for Writers—and my work has been seen on CNN.com, More.com, and The Huffington Post. In addition to my querying and self-published clients, I have worked with Tor/Macmillan and FIYAH literary magazine, St. Martin’s, and eDynamic Learning. I am a freelance editor for the Atlanta Writers Conference and teach workshops for their writing club. My debut novel, Free Falling, was a Georgia Romance Writers’ Maggie Award finalist, and my first work of nonfiction, Everyday Economics, will be released by Quarto Publishing this year.

What does all of that mean for you? It means I’ve been where you’ve been. In fact, I’m still there. I’m currently working on the second novel in my romantic-fiction series, revising a young adult manuscript I hope to begin querying this year, and writing a second nonfiction title for Quarto. And this year, I’m excited to be joining Sourcebooks’ 2021 Editorial Training Program.

The publishing journey is quite a ride, and I have the same anxieties and questions about writing, publishing, and marketing that you have. But I’ve learned a lot over the years, and I plan on using what I’ve learned to help you reach your publishing goals.

Now that you’ve learned a bit about me, please drop me a line and tell me where you are in your writer’s journey. I’d love to hear from you!
