MY SERVICES

If you’re looking for a professional with years of experience, you’ve come to the right place. I have spent the last several years working with a wide variety of writers, from those pursuing self-publishing and those just beginning the query process, to bestselling indie and traditionally published authors. I’ve worked with the Big 5 Publishers and a number of best-selling authors such as Diane Chamberlain, Trisha Thomas, and Amanda Foody. I’ve also worked on a fun Marvel project (IKR!) and several non-fiction titles for Quarto Publishing. But I love my indie and self-published authors too and am a student of Mark Dawson’s Self Publishing Formula. I was even featured on their Self Publishing Spotlight interview series!

I have taught workshops for the Atlanta Writers Club and Wake up and Write!, and I’m a regular contributor to Writer Unboxed, a Writer’s Digest Best Website for Writers. I value my clients’ time and commitment to quality publishing, and I work closely with them to help them achieve their writing and publishing goals. Click or tap here to read what clients are saying about my work, and keep on reading to see what I can do for you.

Editing

Google “types of editing” and you’ll get dozens of responses with almost as many variations in definitions. There’s even disagreement about the correct spelling of copyediting. Is it “copyediting” or “copy editing”? I’m team copyediting-is-one-word, so that’s how I refer to it here. Now, about that editing . . .

Author Coaching

Do you have a brilliant idea for a story, but you’re having trouble fleshing it out? Do you struggle with concepts such as Goal-Motivation-Conflict, head-hopping, and the (somewhat dreaded) “show don’t tell”? Are you confused about the various paths to publishing and want a better understanding before setting out on your author career? Contact me to learn why one-on-one coaching sessions might be right for you.

Workshop Facilitation

I have over ten years’ experience conducting training in both the public and private sectors. I’ve taught workshops for the Atlanta Writer’s Club and Wake Up & Write!, and I can design training specific to your audience’s needs. If you’re interested in hiring a skilled, professionally-trained facilitator to speak at your next writing conference or group meeting, please contact me for more information.
